Kimberly J. Trupiano

Attorney Kim Trupiano specializes in immigration, family law, and criminal defense. She is licensed to practice in state, federal and appellate courts of Utah. Her established and growing law practice serves individuals and corporations in the Salt Lake City area and worldwide.

After a distinguished military career as U.S. Army linguist, Kim traveled across America as an over-the-road truck driver. She earned her law degree from Brigham Young University and worked as a law clerk in Germany for the international law firm Baker & McKenzie before opening her own practice in Utah in 2006.

Ms. Trupiano is admitted to practice in all courts of Utah, U.S. District Court (Utah, Arizona), the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Executive Office for Immigration Review (immigration court), and Board of Immigration Appeals. She has argued cases on appeal in state and federal courts. She is a member of the Federal Bar Association, American Bar Association, Utah State Bar, American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), and the Utah Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (UACDL).

Jacqueline Deaton

Immigration Law

Ms. Deaton was born and raised in Tenerife, Spain. After high school, Ms. Deaton moved to the United States, married and had a family. Ms. Deaton is bilingual: English and Spanish.

Ms. Deaton received her bachelor’s degree from Weber State University in Spanish. She continued her studies by obtaining a Masters of Arts in Spanish Literature from Brigham Young University. She later attended J. Reuben Clark Law School, where she graduated with her Juris Doctor degree.

Ms. Deaton has worked for Brigham Young University teaching a variety of courses for several departments, including Marriott School of Management, Center for Language Studies and the Spanish and Portuguese department.

Her practice concentrates on immigration and naturalization law wherein she represents foreign nationals before the Immigration Court and USCIS, including immigration defense, affirmative family and employment- and education-based applications, and citizenship.
